New Days began in May 2003. We meet because people need people when facing cancer. Those who come share words of hope, stories of their life's journey. Time and time again, I have read articles which state that those who have a sense of spirituality have greater levels of well being, hope and optimism.
In a study written 2/07/03 by Neil F. Neimark, M.D., he writes "Religious involvement was positively correlated with the following outcomes:
  • greater levels of well being, hope and optimism
  • greater sense of purpose and meaning
  • less depression and more rapid recovery from depression
  • decreased anxiety and fear
New Days provides a place for those affected by Cancer to  laugh, fellowship, cry, and best of all, affirm that each New Day we are given is truly a blessing!
Prayer:
May the healing power of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ, fill your whole being, body, mind and spirit. May he take away all that hurts or harms you, and give you his peace.
